Tomorrow we plan on packing in the family and friends for some good food and company! This is what we will be having…
Slider Sandwiches, recipe HERE
Brownies HERE. I plan on making a few different kind with different fillings. I am one of the only ones who like the mint, so I will do peanut butter and a chocolate mousse also.
Can’t have a party without Pioneer Woman’s Stuffed Mushrooms recipe HERE I am not even a mushroom person and I like these. Ask my husband, I pick them out of everything but I love these. Go figure.
I am sure we will be adding a few more things.
What will you be having??

The stuffed mushrooms look yummy…the recipe calls for dry wine, do you substitute something or what kind of dry white wine do you recommend? I don't drink (LDS), but I do realize the alcohol cooks out, just clueless I guess. Thanks for any help you can give me. Oh…and I am making coconut shrimp, salsa cheesecake, and mexican shrimp cocktail. Thanks again.Katie

Katie!!! LEave the recipe for salsa cheesecake! I have to have it!Subs I use….Non-alcoholic wine, chicken broth or stock, diluted white wine vinegar or cider vinegar, white grape juice diluted with white wine vinegar, ginger ale, canned mushroom liquid, water. For marinades, substitute 1/4 cup vinegar plus 1 Tbsp sugar plus 1/4 cup water.Depending on what I am making I have a cooking wine that I have used. But usually I use apple juice.

Not big wine drinkers, so when I have a bottle that I have had to open for something I pour the leftover wine in 1/2 and 1 cup amounts in freezers bag, label and freeze. It's great to have on hand for cooking! I'm making DiGiorno pizza that I got for free!(I was a DiGiorno Superbowl Hostess) Homemade Chex mix that I got for pennies (Randalls ad deal + rockin Chex cereal coupon in the awesome Randalls coupon book that was out this week,+ the manufac. coupons for chex cereal + the nuts on sale at Kroger this week) Potato Skins (with the .50 Sargento cheese at Kroger!) and I am quickly being won over on the Stuffed Mushrooms! I LOVE cooking on a budget!

Thanks for the great advice. My daughter told me about the salsa cheesecake, a friend of hers raves about it, so I found a recipe at taste of home and am going to try it. It looks yummy. Here you go…http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Salsa-CheesecakeThanks again.Katie

We have made the sliders 3 or 4 times since you first posted the recipe. My husband can't get enough of them. They're really good! I think the brownies look better though!

I made the slider sandwiches with turkey instead of ham (I don't like ham) and my husband LOVED them (as did I)! Thanks for sharing the recipe! Love your blog!
